    I love Project Runway....However, I keep getting pissed when they refer to something that is not cool or sweet as grandma clothing. I am a grandma and I don't like to wear "grandma" clothing in their sense of the word. So annoying.

      Hi Theresa. I know! That's exactly the point. I have a strong sense of self and loads of confidence : -) - I was sure they'll pick me - because they need people like me. PLUS, I was once a NY designer and can design, sew, make patterns etc. like a pro!! I sent them pix of great clothes.....I guess, old people have no place in that show. If I were more "famous" on FB and Instagram - fans could write to PR and complain.....

      Hi there - whatever your name is. :-) You, we all start (or keep on doing it) to be in the forefront and open our mouths and having an opinion which should be shared. I still believe in protests. Wherever I go I change the (often boring) conversation into something topical and often yes, "political". I always manage to engage at least 2, 3 people in meaningful conversations, so they see that older women are real and have something to say. I would say: work on your conversations skills and my best weapon: HUMOR, funny one liners, CHARME and Irony. All dispensed with charm. There you have it. And then come the clothes....that's Lesson 2....

First I wanted to write about men (especially the ones that  want to be "friends" on FB) but then I've decided to go for Beauty  - that is always a popular topic - even when it's about the Avoidance  of too much stuff and too much attention to it! This is something I've jotted down a few weeks ago for Ari S. Cohen's "Advanced Style" page - in a short form. Since there are many different readers for different websites and blogs - I dare to run here parts of it! But I realized that there are more nuances to the continuing story of what "Beauty" is and why it is so infuriatingly more important to us - than all lipsticks and  eye-shadows together!
